Bio

Yash Kaushik, a Software Support Engineer who just finished his Diploma at St. Lawrence College studying Game Programming. A Computer Science Engineering background helps him understand the building blocks of a game. He has 3 years’ experience in programming in C, C++ languages and about a year experience with C#. In the past year, he also did a few projects in C++ and C# as a requirement for his programming courses GAME 302 and GAME 202. While working on the labs for his courses he also learned to work with a few API's like OpenGL, SDL, and Windows Forms. Him making it to the Dean’s List shows his academic excellence and dedication towards the program along with an understanding of all the things he learned so far.

In GAME 202 he worked on a Frogger Game (See Figure 1) where he programmed the whole game and implemented an identical model with his own level layout. The game was implemented in C++ with the help of SDL API. Then in another course GAME 302, he worked on unity and made some projects on that.

He has worked on different projects which made him flexible to jump on different things. He takes pride in his ability to write clean and efficient code with proper documentation so that his peers understand what is going on in the code just by looking at it while working in a group project.

In his free time, he likes helping his colleagues out with any programming issues or volunteering for things where he can help people out to his best capabilities. He likes working in an IT environment as well to where he gets to fiddle with the new technology and think of ways to implement that with games
